Assessment
The assessment and treatment of traumatic brain injury consists of an interview, cognitive testing, and observation. Ideally, an interview with the client’s family and/or caregiver is encouraged. We use standardized and non-standardized assessment tools for the specific areas in question, along with an assessment of the client’s environment. This is a highly individualized assessment and techniques are based on the injury and client’s needs. We identify rehabilitation strategies based on our client’s goals and design a functional rehabilitation treatment program that is tailored to them.
